Attendance · Piece-rate payroll

Farm attendance and piece-rate payroll for Kenyan farms

Mark attendance by crew or block, convert kilos to wages, and see every deduction itemized before payday.

How is attendance marked?

Attendance is marked by crew or block — a supervisor records who worked, on what task, on which block, for the day. This is not biometric attendance; we do not claim biometric scanning, fingerprint, or facial recognition. It is a structured daily record that a supervisor enters and that feeds directly into payroll.

How do kilos become wages?

Each task has a piece-rate — a rate per kilo, crate, or row. When a worker's output is logged against that task, the wage calculates automatically: quantity multiplied by the rate on file. There is no manual re-entry between the field record and the payroll figure.

What deductions are itemized?

Advances taken during the season, cooperative dues, welfare contributions, and statutory deductions (NSSF, SHIF, AHL, PAYE at 2025 rates) are each shown as a separate line against the gross wage. A worker can see exactly what was earned and exactly what was taken out, and why.

  • Attendance by crew/block, not biometric
  • Piece-rate wage = quantity × rate, calculated automatically
  • Advances, dues, and statutory deductions itemized line by line
  • NSSF/SHIF/AHL/PAYE at 2025 rates — you export, your accountant files

Why does itemized attendance-to-wage matter?

Disputes over pay usually come from a gap between what was worked and what was paid. When attendance, output, and deductions are the same record instead of three separate ones, that gap closes — for the worker checking a payslip and for the farm reconciling a season.

Does MkulimaOS use biometric attendance?

No. Attendance is marked by crew or block, not by biometric scan. We do not claim biometric attendance.

Are Kenya statutory deductions calculated automatically?

Yes — NSSF, SHIF, AHL and PAYE are computed at 2025 rates as part of payroll. You export the figures; your accountant files.

Can workers see how their wage was calculated?

Yes — piece-rate output and every deduction are itemized against the gross wage, so the final figure is traceable back to the attendance record.
